The Ranks of the Order of Middle Earth

The order has decided to provide a basic ranking system.  Since we are a casual fun kinship we do not strive to develop a hugely complicated system.  This system may or may not be implemented by all the servers and it depends on the individual leader of that server if they wish to implement it.  These ranks will become fun once LOTRO implements the extra kinship rank names that should be available at the first patch after the Mines of Moria update.  This will be “month of the kinships” update.
 
Please note that unless you get member status in the kinship these ranks will not apply to you.  To get member status you have to sign up to this site and be in the guild at least 2 weeks.  So you could be a level 50 who hasnt signed up and been with us for months but not a member!  Being a member allows access to the housing area. 

The High Council

The high council is the name given to the top 3 layers of the guild.  The Founder the leaders and the officers.

Founder: Vivasvan

I am the original founder the kinship. I am not a decision maker in the kinships that exist. My role is strictly to recruit and to only appoint a leader when a position becomes vacant. We currently exist on 5 servers each has its own leader who is in charge of all decisions on how the guilds run along with his officers.  If you want to know more of the history of the Order of Middle Earth  then click here.

Leaders: Each of these leaders is on a separate server – with each one having separate officers.  The expandable list on the left panel of our site shows the current officers under each leader.  Below is just a list of current leaders.

The Core

Below is the ranking system available to all of the rest of the players.  This is the only ranks available and no others are allowed to be formed unless discussed further.  Of course as Lotro increases its level limits the ranks will be updated accordingly.

1-10 - Footman of the Order

11-20 - Soldier of the Order

21-30 - Captain of the Order

31-40 - Major of the Order

41-50 - Colonel of the Order

51-59 - General of the Order

60 - Elders of the Order

Once the kinship ranks are available we can enter these and hopefully see them floating above our heads.  Or at the least they will be visible in the kinship tab against each person’s name.

The Army – The White Knights of the Order

Since the Order is growing large, we have now decided to start the process of creating the White Knights of the Order.  Who are they?  The best PvP players in the kinship.  To be a White Knight you must excel at PvP and obtain rank 4 in PvMP at least. Your level must also be 40+.   The White Knights will be our hardened heroes, those we look to when we want aid in PvMP and leadership of the Order into battle with confidence.

The White Knights will also be ruthless in PvMP moors raids and defeating enemies of the Dark Lord.

NOTE: Not all servers want to incorporate the White Knights. Its up to each servers leader and its members how they feel about this.

Raiding – There are no raid ranks and none will be developed.  We are not a heavy raid guild and the raiding we do is just for fun.  This will never change.  It is of utmost importance members understand this and we recruit under this notion.  If you are into heavy gear orientated raiding which segregates the casual raiders from hardcore raiders then this is not the kinship for you.  We are here for fun!

Of course you can raid in your own groups as much as you wish but a ranking system will not be available.
