The Ages of Middle Earth and the History of the Order

The Thinking behind the Order of Middle Earth and its creation

The annals of the Order of Middle Earth have deep roots from the early ages in middle earth.  Before the first age even.  I will try to explain this in an easy way for those that are not much into the lore or terminology of middle earth. 

The elves were created in Middle-Earth before the first age. They were the first race in this world.  Although the dwarves were the first race to be made by the demigod Aule (Demigods are known as Valar in Tolkiens world),  Iluvatar (Tolkiens God) did not let the dwarves awake until he had made and awakened the elves.

Elves awoke in Middle-Earth and that was there intended home of existence.   

Melkor (the first Dark Lord) who was also a demigod (Valar) came to Middle-Earth and tried to turn the elves against all the other demigods.  Due to this many elves were persuaded by the demigods to leave Middle Earth and live in Valinor.

 
Many elves stayed behind and were known as the “dark elves” only due to the fact they had never seen the light from the two trees that were planted in Valinor.  These elves loved Middle-Earth and didn’t want to leave.

My character is a descendent from those elves that did not want to leave Middle Earth and thus protecting Middle-Earth was there priority and it was also there home.

This is the thinking behind the Order of Middle Earth.  Its created to protect Middle Earth from the re-emerging threat of the Dark Lord Sauron.  Many will leave Middle-Earth and goto valinor to escape but there are those that will always remain and protect.  The kinsmen of the Order of Middle Earth are those.

The Kinship itself

The Order of Middle earth was started by a 6 member fellowship of whom were all of different race. We believed then, and all our current members still do now,  that the only way to beat the current threat is to unite all the free peoples in Middle Earth against Sauron.  If each race is left to fight on its own it will be doomed along with Middle Earth.

 This Kinship started in the first week of the game itself and all the founding members have gone apart from myself who was the original Founder on Landroval. 

The Founder

As a fan of MMO's my first experience was Everquest. After playing many other MMOs, none quite had the feel of EQ and being a fan of Lord of the Rings I always did wonder if they would one day create an MMO representing Tolkiens world and if that game would be any good.  With this game it became a reality.  Being an avid fan of Lord of the Rings I am a lifetime member of the gane and I will not be playing any other game for a long long time.  My pace of play is slow as I like to enjoy the game. After a year of playing im still not near 50 but there is a long way to go in Middle Earth and I will not be going anywher for a long long time.  In fact as long as Lord of the Rings Online is a game the Order of Middle Earth will always remain.
